Postdoctoral post at the Clinical Operational Research Unit, University College London
Salary: £35,965 - £36,945 (Grade 7) inclusive of London Allowance Full-time fixed term contract until July 2022.

Applications are invited for a full time Research Fellow to work in the UCL Clinical Operational Research Unit (CORU) on the project 'BHF' with Dr. Sonya Crowe. The post is available from 1st October 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The post involves developing statistical model to understand the long term outcomes of babies born with complex heart defects. The candidate with be leading the collation, cleaning and analysis of healthcare data.

The post is funded by The British Heart Foundation until July 2022.

The successful candidate will need a PhD in a subject with a large amount of mathematical content or equivalent. The post holder will also require a good first degree in a quantitative discipline with a large amount of mathematical content.

In addition, the post holder will need to demonstrate excellent computing skills with knowledge of standard software packages such as Microsoft Office and computer programming skills. They need to have knowledge of statistical or data analysis software, e.g. STATA; SPSS; R; MATLAB. Willingness and flexibility to work in close collaboration with clinicians and others in the Health Service is also essential.

This is an exciting research area, with great potential for impact and several high quality publications.
