Statistician, European Central Bank, Frankfurt, Germany

You will be part of the Monetary and Economic Statistics Division in the Directorate General Statistics. We develop, compile and disseminate statistics and statistical indicators and provide related user services regarding monetary financial institutions (MFIs), other financial corporations, financial stability and financial integration within the euro area and the European Union, as well as general economic statistics, including prices and costs, short-term business statistics, labour market statistics, economic tendency surveys and other statistics on the non-financial sectors.

You will work in the Economic Statistics Section, which develops, compiles and disseminates general economic statistics for the non-financial sectors and surveys of non-financial corporations and households, and provides related user services. The Section also coordinates the ECB’s contribution to the improvement and harmonisation of all the above-mentioned statistics across the European Union, in cooperation with European partners and in international fora, as well as liaising with private data providers where appropriate. You will focus, in particular, on operational, computational and methodological aspects related to: (i) harmonised indices of consumer prices, (ii) short-term business statistics and (iii) real estate statistics.
