Assistant Professor (tenure track) of Econometrics, School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University
The Department of Quantitative Economics (QE) of the School of Business and Economics (SBE) is looking for an Assistant Professor (on a tenure track position) in Econometrics, with special interest in one or more of the following areas: mathematical finance, actuarial science, financial econometrics.
The teaching tasks of the QE Department consists of both courses for the bachelor and master programs in Economics and Business, and courses for the Bachelor and Master programs in Econometrics and Operations Research. As to the latter programs, teaching covers the large spectrum of mathematics, statistics, operations research, econometrics, mathematical economics, and actuarial science. Research of the members of the QE Department also covers topics in all these areas. Teaching ranges from teaching in small groups (UM’s Problem Based Learning) to lecturing and course coordination, as well as supervision of bachelor and master theses.

The successful candidate should start either in February 2020 or in September 2020. Potential candidates can either be interviewed during the European job market of the Econometric Society Winter Meeting 2019 in Rotterdam in December or can be invited to give a seminar at Maastricht University.
