This role is full time and fixed term for 30 months
A Post Doctoral Research Associate in Statistics is required to work on a research project funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) led by Professor Steve Higgins and Dr Adetayo Kasim at Durham University.
This project will develop the analysis of the educational trials funded by the Education Endowment Foundation. The successful applicant will work within a team developing evidence of the effects of educational interventions on educational attainment and investigate the relative impact of different EEF projects, and undertake analysis of impact on pupil progress using the National Pupil Database (NPD). The successful applicant will also be part of a team developing methods of synthesis to integrate emerging findings from EEF projects with findings from wider educational research.
The successful applicant will make particular contribution to statistical analysis. The successful applicant will be required to help devise and implement analysis of randomised controlled trials using data from the NPD, as well as other analysis to inform other work being funded by the EEF.
These analyses will form an important element of the team’s and EEF’s contribution to the evidence for what works in education. The successful applicant will have opportunity to contribute to important methodological work that will inform both the work of the Education Endowment Foundation and educational research practice.
