Statistics with Emphasis in Biological Science

The Department of Statistics and Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri invite applications for a joint open rank position in statistics with emphasis on current research trends in biology such as evolutionary biology and genetics, developmental genetics, genomics, landscape genetics, neuro-behavior, neuro-systems, phylogenetics, population genetics, spatial ecology, and systems biology. The successful candidate will establish a research program that complements each department’s strengths and builds linkages across campus with groups in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, such as Fisheries & Wildlife or Plant Science. MU features an interdisciplinary Complexity Modeling Initiative with more than 70 modeling faculty representing 18 departments across campus. A Ph.D. in Statistics is required and postdoctoral experience is preferred for applicants at the Assistant level.
