The position will involve development of novel statistical methods for:
(a) incompletely observed data sampled with bias
and/or
(b) federated (collaborative) learning from heterogeneously distributed time-to-event data.
The projects are funded by the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and by the National Institute on Aging of the NIH. Both research topics will involve combining tools from the fields of machine learning, survival analysis, multi-state and cure survival models and methods for missing and biased data, and other areas. The position requires a PhD in Statistics or in a closely related field, proficiency in programming languages (such as R, C++), excellent written and oral communication skills, a good track record of scientific publications, ability to work both independently and as a team member.
