Cefas is looking for a Statistical modeller. Your main duties will include:
* Developing innovative approaches to support the implementation of EBFM (including a range of approaches including ensemble approach, multi-species models, but also fleet behaviour models);
* Communicating and engaging with the scientific community to ensure that the approaches are state-of-the-art; and
* Engaging with policy makers to ensure the practical feasibility of the modelling approaches.
It is essential that the successful candidate demonstrates technical skills by showing experience of having:
* Strong programming skills in R (i.e. writing models).
* Excellent statistical skills
