The School of Mathematics & Statistics hosts a large and growing Statistics group which carries out research of international quality across a wide range of topics and has many strong interdisciplinary collaborations. There is a full undergraduate degree programme in Statistics, multiple MSc programmes, and a large group of research students. Applications are invited for a Professor of Statistical Science to lead research and further development in the subject.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding internationally-leading researcher in statistics, able to undertake national and international leadership roles, with a strong record of applying for and securing research funding and high impact publications in internationally recognised journals.

Salary will be commensurate with the appointee's accomplishments and potential.
