A two years post doc position and a PhD fellowship in statistical methods for data from electronic health records at Department of Statistics, University of Leeds, UK
You will develop statistical methods aiming to obtain insight in mechanisms underlying human diseases and health and to define patient subgroups with specific risk profiles. The methodological challenges are to integrate various data sources (e.g. imaging, omics, genetics, family history, electronic health records) while taking into account the differences between these datasets: scale, measurement error, incompleteness, size and heterogeneity etc. Various datasets are available that motivate the research questions and can be used as illustration for method development. Finally you will develop user friendly tools to enhance the use of the methods in practical settings.
