22 Maio, 2014A postdoctoral research position in Operations Management is available at IESE Business School (University of Navarra) in Barcelona, Spain. The objective is to develop research in the area of retail and fashion operations, and more specifically, to build fashion demand models and to study store and production/distribution policies that can adjust to volatile demand trends. The initial appointment will be for one year, with one additional year contingent upon satisfactory performance. The contract will start in October 2014.
Potential candidates should be familiar with mathematical programming (nonlinear and stochastic dynamic programming mainly, use of Matlab) and have some knowledge of data analysis (basics of econometrics). Willingness and ability to interact with industry partners will be appreciated. A PhD in OR, mathematics or a relevant field is required.
