11 Setembro, 2013There are some opportunities for students at George Mason University, which is located 12 miles outside of Washington D.C. in the high-tech corridor of Northern Virginia. The first is that we have an open rank tenured or tenure-track position available for Fall 2014, which you can see on our website http://statistics.gmu.edu.
Secondly, we are actively trying to recruit Doctoral students from Europe. Students with a Master’s degree can generally complete a Ph.D. in 3 years, and full research or teaching assistantships are available. The package is competitive at $21,000 for 9 months, full tuition, and health insurance. Students need to take the GRE and the TOEFL, and the application deadline for Fall 2014 is January 15.
Washington is an exciting place to live and most of our students get summer internships at government agencies and local industries.
