Postdoc in Bayesian/high-dimensional statistics (US citizen)

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bayesian Statistics

This position is focused on development and application of Bayesian statistical methods for high-dimensional data. The fellow will work under the direction of Professor David Dunson in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University. An emphasis will be on environmental and genetic epidemiology studies collecting high-dimensional exposure, exercise and genetic data along with complex phenotypes related to cardiovascular disease.
The fellow will work closely with genetic epidemiologists and cardiologists at Duke, implementing analyses of these data and developing improved general-use statistical methods for high-dimensional data motivated by these data.

This position is for a minimum of two years, would start as soon as possible, is funded by an NIH T32 training grant, and requires US citizenship or a green card. The ideal candidate would have a PhD in statistics, biostatistics or a related field and would have some background in Bayesian statistics, high-dimensional data, and applications in biostatistics.
However, this background is not required and strong candidates will be trained in these areas.
