Research lines

The three departments involved in this PhD program carry out active research in Statistics and Operations Research.
Statistical research focuses on problems of Statistical Inference, in the techniques of non-parametric estimation of curves and applications of them, both in theoretical and in its applications in various scientific fields (economics, finance, bio-health , ...).
Research in the area of Operational Research focuses on game theory and its applications.
In particular the research is still in the three departments are as follows:

In the area of Statistics:

  • Non parametric estimation of curves.
  • Inference in finite populations.
  • Survival analysis.
  • Spatial statistics.
  • Specification tests.
  • Financial engineering.
  • Additive models.
  • Statistical applications in the biosanitary field.
  • Statistical applications in the environmental field.
  • Statistical applications in the finance field, ...

In the area of Operations Research:
  • Non-cooperative games.
  • Cooperative games.
  • Allocating costs.
  • Design fees.
  • Problems of bankruptcy.
  • Índexes of power.
